Sept. 1946 Besses learners band under the tuition of Fred Cowburn. Left aftergeoff.jpg 12 months to concentrate on the trumpet.
Previous Bands:
Various dance bands in the 1950`s & 60`s RAF military band at Padgate,Warrington in 1956 Also in that band was Elgar Howarth. Stopped playing till 1982 joined Prestwich Band on flugel.Then Moston & Beswick. Middleton. Lydgate.Westwood over 50`s band and full circle to Besses.
Memorable Banding Moments:
Best solo horn at Burtonwood contest in 1987 with Prestwich.
Favourite Piece:
All good music, especially modern big band arrangements.
