Started Playing:
1972.
Previous Bands:
Eccles, Urmston & Davyhulme, Bedford Leigh, 2nd Rossendale Scouts.
Memorable Banding Moments:
Playing at Windsor Castle for the Queen, O2 Arena Scouting Centenary Concert to 32k people but most of all taking a small group of friends on Christmas Day to play outside the window where my mum was very poorly in hospital. She passed away a week later. It is so easy to say no, I’m too busy but I have always been grateful to those who helped out on that day. Banding is a community thing, what you are doing by playing locally in those possibly less glamorous band jobs is providing a service and maintaining the fabric of society in today’s throw away, instant, I want it now world.
