Winning 1stPrize in my first slow melody contest Feb 1949 Adjudicator Johny Greenwood. Being awarded a Scholarship to R.M.C.M 1954. Being the Youngest Bandsman at British Open 1955.Age 14 years. Playing with the Halle Orchestra at Sheffield City Hall.1965 . Recording an L.P.with Besses to celebrate 150th year of band 1967. “Well Done Lads”. Playing in Harry Mortimers Men o’ Brass, with the Fairey band1984. Making a recording with the Fairey band.1984.”Brilliant Brass” Playing at the Royal Albert Hall with my brother in 2000 with Blackley band 39 years after we first played there together with Blackley in 1961.

More about:
I am a retired Photo lithographer, have been married to Pat for 49 years. We have Three daughters and six grandchildren .We enjoy the company of our family. Taking holidays with family and eating out. I look forward to going to band and contesting whilst Pat prefers to watch the telly do some knitting and baby sit. Since retiring we have become interested in gardening and growing new plants.
