Nick Smith
Started Playing:
Many many moons ago, this being my 13th consecutive year of playing. I started like most people on cornet, quickly moving onto tenor horn at the young age of 11, then a short spell on baritone, and euphonium. After a very short spell out, I returned back on tenor horn, before being asked by Josh himself to play baritone at besses. And this is where I am today.
Previous Bands:
2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band (Still there), Alder Grange Band (Brass and Jazz bands), Besses Boys Band, Haslingden & Helmshore (6weeks) and Besses o'th' Barn.
Memorable Banding Moments:
My first contest with besses boys, first whit friday with the scouts, playing with top flight bands (fodens, black dyke, grimethorpe) And I can't forget playing in brassed off!
