Adam started playing at the age of 8, initially on cornet, before swiftly moving to baritone with Chester-Le-Street Academy Brass Band, which later transformed to become NASUWT Riverside Concert Brass. I performed at my first Brass Band Contest with this Brass Band at the Age of 10 on 1st Baritone, playing the Four Cities Symphony. Afterwards, I moved around the North East Brass Band Scene, playing with Lanchester Brass Band, before finally settling with the Craghead Colliery Brass Band on Solo Euphonium at the Age of 13. I played in this Brass Band on this seat until the summer of 2015, when I moved to Manchester to study a BA in Japanese with Business and Management. It was this move that prompted me to contact Besses O' Th' Barnes Brass band after noticing that they had a vacancy on Euphonium. After just three weeks of playing, I was delighted to have won my first Brass Band contest with Besses o' th' Barn Band, playing Labour and Love on Solo Euphonium.

Adam then followed this with his second ever Brass Band win, playing 2nd Euphonium with Besses at the 2015 Brass Factor Entertainment Contest in Holmfirth

Adam has now been confirmed as having contracted "Bessyitus" - a condition for which there is no known cure .......... ha .......
