Product of the 1970’s resurgence in banding. Started in 1976 with Windsor Salford. Stopped from 1988 to 2008 to play Rugby
Previous Bands:
Windsor Salford, Swinton Concert, Stalybridge, Greenway Selectus Biddulph, Welwyn Garden City, Eccles Borough, Besses o’th Barn.
Memorable Banding Moments:
Still waiting! (went to London Finals with Greenway in the 2nd section (1987 I think). Went to World Music Festival in Kirkrade with Stalybridge and Derek Broadbent (1986 I think). Played under Dave King at Swinton for a short period.
Favourite Piece:
Resurgam.

Staying where I am at Besses to get it back to Championship Section if possible. I will either be too old or not good enough when this happens so I will then gracefully retire.
(Steve is made of more bits and bobs then the basses and still he attends EVERY rehersal. We call him THE BIONIC MAN!)
