Besses Have a Successful Return to Whit Friday.

Due to the recent recruitment of some new, experienced, players the band are progressing well and will be ready to proudly take the contest stage again.

Following a productive AGM the band now has an enthusiastic and energetic committee so band is now in a position to progress and return to the contest arena with confidence.

Open Rehearsal Exceeds All Expectations!

If you didn't manage to make it to the famous Besses Open Rehearsal - you missed a treat.

The rehearsal was massively over subscribed by players from all over the country. There were so many players that we literally ran out of chairs and room. There could have been a band made completely of Tenor horn players. A conservative estimate was of a band of at least 80 players!

Those who came worked on Knight Templar, Prelude from the 49th Parallel and then experienced a crash course in the form of the taxing test piece Blitz.

Then there was a nice social gathering with free drinks for all who attended.

A fantastic night was had by all and it's going to become a regular event.
