We really appreciate all the general support that the band currently gets from audiences, players, families, other bands and the community in general but we are always keen to foster individual support.
This happens currently through two main ways:
To find out more about either of these two ways of support Besses o' th' Barn Band, please check out the links on the left.
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, we are always pleased to hear them - click Contact Us on the left to get in touch.
Put simply, without your support, Besses o' th' Barn Band could not survive. With support, both financial and social, we hope the band can once again rise to heights of success it used to know, providing high quality music and entertainment for our local community and on a national level. We may even be able to begin thinking about a return to the international stage, as Besses did a century ago. (To find out more about, this click on "About Besses".)
Your support really is vital. "Support" can be anything from simply dropping us an e-mail to tell us you've seen the website and telling us about a typo (they are there, somewhere, we're sure!), joining us at one of our concerts in the audience, offering to help us with transporting the gear to and from a concert, right up to sponsoring our transport costs for the year or even sponsoring the entire band's operations.
Thank you for your support - long may it continue.
Would you like to play a key role in supporting Besses o' th' Barn Band now, so that it can carry on its proud tradition of providing the finest music to audience all over the north west, the UK and indeed the world?
Besses o' th' Barn Band has been around for almost two centuries, in one form or another. That kind of legacty deserves to continue for a long, long time. Besses o' th' Barn Band is something that spans not just generations, but eras, which is something very special and has to be a rarity, not just in the UK, but in the world.
You can help preserve this legacy for future generations. It's a sad but unavoidable fact that any arts organisation, from a professional symphony orchestra with 100 players and scores of staff, to a small theatre company with just two performers, needs one thing constantly to survive - money.
Besses o' th' Barn' is one of the oldest and most famous brass bands in the world. Perhaps you have a venue you think that would really suit a top class brass concert?
